Telemetry/PCU Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift Contract in Cape May Court House, NJ
Experienced Telemetry RN or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN sought for a 12-week night shift contract in Cape May Court House, New Jersey. Registered Nurse Job Details
- Specialty: Telemetry Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN
- Location: Middle Township/Cape May Court House area, New Jersey
- Schedule: 36 hours per week on night shifts, including every other weekend
- Duration: 12-week nursing contract
- Start Date: October 21, 2026
- Work Setting: On-site hospital environment and Level I Trauma facility
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070–$2,180
- Scheduling Note: Time-off requests during holiday weeks are not available for this assignment
Telemetry RN and PCU RN Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a busy Level I Trauma facility
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or competency
- Recent EPIC electronic health record documentation experience
- Ability to float to comparable or like units as needed
- Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
Telemetry and Progressive Care Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to telemetry and progressive care patients during overnight shifts
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, neurological status, and changes in patient condition
- Recognize and respond promptly to clinical deterioration and emergent patient needs
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing colleagues, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in EPIC
- Float to comparable units while maintaining high standards of patient care and professionalism
- Support discharge planning, patient education, and continuity of care
