Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Day Shift Contract in Middle Township, NJ
Join a collaborative acute-care nursing team as a Telemetry RN and Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse in Middle Township, New Jersey. This on-site 12-week contract nursing job is ideal for an experienced RN who thrives in a busy Level I Trauma setting, provides attentive care to higher-acuity patients, and values teamwork across comparable clinical units.
Telemetry RN Job Details
- Specialty: Telemetry Nursing / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Location: Middle Township, New Jersey
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070–$2,180
- Schedule: 36 hours per week on day shifts, including every other weekend
- Duration: 12-week Registered Nurse contract
- Start Date: October 21, 2026
- Setting: On-site acute-care hospital and Level I Trauma environment
- Additional Scheduling Information: Holiday-week time-off requests are not available for this assignment
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse Requirements
- At least 3 years of recent Telemetry or PCU Registered Nurse experience in a busy Level I Trauma facility
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification or current NIHSS competency
- Recent experience with EPIC electronic medical records
- Ability to float to comparable units as needed
- Resume, skills checklist, professional references, and license verification required for consideration
Telemetry Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to telemetry and progressive-care patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
- Complete comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, care planning, and accurate clinical documentation in EPIC
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and fellow nurses to coordinate individualized patient care
- Support patients and families through education, communication, and compassionate bedside nursing care
- Float to comparable acute-care units while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical quality
