Job Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license
- Current BLS certification
- At least 1 year of recent telemetry nursing experience required
- Experience with cardiac drips strongly preferred
- Experience with TR bands and post-procedure care preferred
- Experience with Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process preferred
- Comfort working in an acute care hospital environment with changing priorities
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to telemetry patients with cardiac monitoring needs
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care throughout the shift
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and manage cardiac infusions according to unit standards
- Support patients recovering from procedures and transitions of care
- Collaborate closely with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Float to other acute care nursing units as needed based on patient care needs
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain a safe, efficient workflow
