Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Step-Down Night Shift in Salem, MA
Join a high-acuity surgical step-down team as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in Salem, Massachusetts. This 13-week travel nursing assignment is ideal for an experienced Telemetry RN who enjoys caring for diverse postoperative patients in a collaborative hospital environment.

- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Assignment Dates: November 15, 2026 – February 13, 2027
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
- Schedule: Night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM; every other weekend
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Unit: 23-bed medical-surgical and surgical step-down unit
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 2–3 patients per RN in step-down and 3–5 patients per RN in medical-surgical care
- Charting System: Epic
- Additional Information: Floating may be required; on-site parking is available
Telemetry RN Job Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of experience working in one clinical location
- At least 2 years of travel nursing experience
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
- Experience managing chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, epidurals, and capnography
- Experience with arterial lines and Neo-Synephrine preferred
- Ability to provide documentation and complete required skills and dysrhythmia assessments
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical, telemetry, and postoperative patients
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and promptly communicate changes in patient condition
- Care for patients recovering from general, gynecologic, vascular, thoracic, urologic, oral, plastic, and trauma surgeries
- Manage chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, epidurals, capnography, and other complex therapies
- Assess patients, administer medications, perform treatments, and evaluate outcomes
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and support safe transitions of care
- Float to appropriate units as needed while maintaining high standards of patient care
