Job Requirements
- MD or DO required
- General Surgery board certified or board eligible
- Completion of an Abdominal Transplant Surgery Fellowship required
- At least 1 year of relevant post-training clinical experience required
- Ability to provide on-call coverage for kidney organ offers and transplant cases
- Comfort managing complex post-transplant patients, surgical complications, and infections
Responsibilities
- Review kidney organ offers and determine transplant availability
- Provide surgical coverage for kidney transplants and related procedures
- Round on current patients and provide post-operative inpatient care
- Manage post-transplant patients with complications or infections
- Collaborate with the hospital team to support continuity of care
- Respond to call coverage needs during the assigned coverage week
