Locum Tenens Urologist in Olympia, WA — Board-certified urology physician needed for flexible per diem coverage in Washington. Join a collaborative team providing high-quality adult urology care in a supportive hospital setting near Puget Sound.

  • Position: Locum Tenens Urology Physician / Locum Tenens Urologist
  • Start Date: June 1, 2026
  • Duration: Ongoing, per diem locum tenens assignment
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $7,550 – $8,100
  • Hours Per Week: 36
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (any)
  • Call Coverage: 1 week per month; typically 3–4 consecutive 24-hour call shifts (flexible for additional coverage)
  • Patient Encounters Per Shift: Approximately 15
  • Nearest Major Airport: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)

Job Requirements – Urology Qualifications

  • Board Certified Physician in Urology (required) — board-certified urologist preferred
  • Active, unrestricted Washington State medical license (required)
  • BLS certification (required)
  • At least 1 year of recent clinical experience in urology (hospital and outpatient experience valued)
  • Fellowship training preferred but not required
  • Strong clinical and surgical skills in general adult urology, including inpatient, outpatient, and on-call care
  • Typical credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days

Responsibilities – Urology Duties & Procedures

  • Provide comprehensive adult urology services: evaluation, diagnosis, and management of common and complex urologic conditions
  • Perform surgical and non-surgical urologic procedures as indicated in a hospital setting
  • Manage urgent and emergent urological cases while on call coverage (locum physician responsibilities)
  • Preferred procedural skills: percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, robotic surgery, renal/bladder ultrasound with biopsy, TRUS biopsies, incontinence procedures, penile prosthesis, and ESWL
  • Collaborate with hospital staff, anesthesiology, and other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and complete required administrative tasks
